Other Family Law Matter

In mediation, it is the mediator’s job to work with the couple to determine what issues are relevant and possibly unique to this particular couple. The mediator does this by using an acronym commonly referred to as P.E.A.C.E. The “P” refers to all parenting issues that need to be addressed. The “E” is for everything dealing with equitable distribution or how to divide up all of the assets and liabilities. “A” is for spousal support or alimony as it is more commonly referred to and “C” is for child support. The “E” is for everything else. It is the catchall, allowing the parties to deal with any other matter that the couple wants to address during the mediation.
